About

Hi there, I’m Alyson.

With more than 15 years of experience in the sector, I know my way around a nonprofit organization. And as a former Executive Director and Development Director, I understand the stresses you face in running your organization.

Alyson Culin, Founder and Principal Advisor of Blue Hill Strategies, is a seasoned nonprofit expert with a background ranging from front-line service provider to executive director. With a career reflecting a commitment to authenticity and transparency, Alyson is known for her strategic acumen and unwavering dedication to the nonprofit sector.

Alyson's approach begins with a comprehensive organizational assessment, leveraging her analytical eye and industry-leading tools to guide organizations in governance, administration, and programmatic areas. This sets the stage for a roadmap to improvement, empowering clients to make informed decisions about their future.

Beyond assessments, Alyson elevates organizations through strategic planning, leadership transitions, capacity building, and more. As a skilled writer and editor, she transforms complex ideas into compelling narratives, offering support from conception and writing to editing and design.

Alyson's legacy of impact is evident in the organizations she has worked with, from local agencies to nonprofits working internationally, and she remains dedicated to empowering nonprofits to not only meet but exceed their organizational goals.

Blue Hill Strategies is a fully remote, woman-owned, boutique consulting firm.
Alyson mostly works solo, though she has a team of consultants to join forces with when the situation calls for it.
